Likewise, not tried rolling through his legs. He’s got a couple of very big swords, don’t you know.

Really struggling with the Geno spirit just now. I can manage to beat two of the starting three but just get pummelled by the rest of the gang. Going to give it a rest for a bit because I could feel myself getting genuinely angry.

Is it a stamina battle? I think I did it with a Superspicy and an extra stamina boost, and possibly a rather overlevelled primary. It’s one of the ones where cheesing it is difficult. (Presumably possible, though, given that the stage edge goes all the way to the Blast Zone.)

Can't beat strawberry floating Dracula :x Even with the Great Autoheal I'm like 200% damaged when he's got about a quarter of his health left fml. Will try and leave some spirits training overnight and try again later.

Is it easier if I play as Simon with his silly throwing axes? Guessing they're probably designed to whack him in the head during the first phase... :shifty:

EDIT: Did it :datass: and then went back and got The Boss. Phew.

Managed the one I was stuck on. It's not a stamina battle - you had to defeat Sheik in a time limit but before she appears you needed to get through at least 2 of 4 other foes. I found a cheap but effective way to get through it was relying on Kirby's down B. Basic but it did the job.

Edit: I've actually gotten into a nice groove on this tonight and beat a few I'd initially left as being quite tough: Geno, Pauline, Viridi, Ashley, and The Boss. Pleased with that. :)

World of Light done...100% in 28 hours 15 minutes.

It’s not perfect and I had quite a few complaints along the way but I still really, really enjoyed that. Once it sunk its’ claws into me I couldn’t put it down. Very addictive, and for the most part, very enjoyable. Overall, my favourite Smash Adventure mode for sure.

Now, to get the 500 or so spirits I’m missing...

That Pauline fight has been won and I have no idea how I did it. Peach just somehow gave up while on the lower platforms.

Any tips for M Bison (Ganondorf stamina battle)? I'm struggling legit fighting him, he does so much damage. Was thinking I might be able to bait him into SD-ing but haven't had any luck so far.

Edit: never mind, managed it as Yoshi. Egg-laid him over the edge.

Think I'm at the end of Adventure Mode now... A boss rush? :dread: None of them were good the first time around.

They genuinely weren't. Especially not the ones you've already fought like three or four times :slol:

Got so bored of them I rolled the difficulty down so they wouldn't take so chuffing long.

Still, done. Wonder how many spaces I missed. How do you check your percentage completion?

EDIT: 100% completion. Boom.

The bosses were probably the best bits of WoL. Them and that bit with Master Hand.

Of course, I didn’t spoil them for myself by playing Classic several times first. :P

That's not really saying much, though ;) The only other part of WoL is endless spirit battles.

The first time you fight any of them it's sort of "Oooh! This is fancy". Like, you finish Classic Mode and go up against something other than a Master Hand and it's new and exciting, and then you play through World of Light and fight them again, and again, and again, and again

But yeah that Master Hand bit was great. Wasn't there a rumour back in the day that you could play as Master Hand in one of the earlier games?

There is a glitch that allows you to play as Master Hand in Melee.

Okay, I’ll rephrase: I liked the boss battles, Hands aside. I thought they were good. I still think they’re good when I come up against anyone who isn’t the chuffing Hands in Classic. They were some of the best bits of Brawl’s SSE, and they’re great here too. :P

Overexposure I’m afraid. I’m always pleased to see a new, Hands-off boss appear.

The bosses are great.

Planting a boss rush in the middle of the final battle was not. Especially if you’ve been working through Classic mode at the same time as WoL and have already fought them many times.

I wish they’d gone a bit further with the bosses and had more. There’s plenty of candidates-Dr Robotnik is one that immediately springs to mind and would have been great.
