Well yeah, it wouldn't solely be for the online challenges, but I don't really get the whole competitive online scene, so it's nice to have some reason to be playing and something to be aiming towards.

I've been missing having random games of Splatoon every now and then, too. £15 for a year isn't much, but I still don't know if it's really worth it

Also the Classic Mode is the perfect length for my train journey to work :datass:

I hear that there Tetris is meant to be okay as well.

It genuinely sounds like the worst idea ever, though. Battle royal games are not my jam.

Fair enough, I’m not actually keen on it myself. Can you find enough people to get the family discount? Alternative is to curb your completionist tendencies.

If you work through all the other challenges, will you not earn enough hammers to clear the online challenge windows anyway?

I've only got six hammers so far, so it doesn't feel like I'll get enough. Will wait and see though

Yup! The art's nice enough but it makes it difficult to determine what's background art and what's not. The main mechanic is bobbins and it goes on for two long. Thankfully the other sections are better.

It's about time to be honest. Melee always hurt my eyes to watch and Ultimate should be a nice replacement.

I assume they have to make an effort to host it on CRTs? That must be a ballache and quite unpractical when everything else is on HD TVs.

Loving this game still in our household. So many years of depths to uncover and discover. My main is Corrin who may not be up there in popularity but she moves so well and fluidly I'd happily play a game of just her control-feel.

I have so many games to play and I just can't stop playing Smash :wub:

I have to say, I really love what they did with spirits and the single player in this. The systems in place certainly aren't perfect, and could do with a bit more polish in my opinion but it's kept me playing the Spirit Board and Classic modes far longer than I expected. I'm upto about 1050 spirits now, with about 35-40 classic modes to complete. My plan is to go through everyone's classic mode using the special tickets which help you get extra spirits when you complete.
