They’ve confirmed no new characters to show. Important thing to note.

With no new modes or characters other than Terry it probably is a 45 minute love letter to SNK by Sakurai to be fair.

I suppose one thing that's "missing" is the 16/17 stages from previous games.

I guess the final character will be announced at the Game Awards bit like Joker last year.

We've got a new mode most likely being revelead, so a chunk of that could be used to show it. Terry might be similar to the SF fighters with different mechanics so more time might be used to explain that. Something worth noting is that Sakurai has a fight stick with him in that thumbnail >,>

Yeah Sakurai explicitly said that. Guess it could have changed but doubtful.

Sheet, my bad, I was referring to a leak that happened shortly after. Seemed pretty legit to me. Sakurai did phrase it kinda weird if you guys remember. I won't spoil the details of what it is tho.

Anywho, Terry looks great. Disappointed there's no Fatal Cutie alt, but that was always a slim chance.

A few low tier buffs which is nice, but nothing too significant. All in all, pretty disappointing day. Will try out Terry when I get home tho. Feel free to join me this evening on stream too 8^)

I could never click with Ryu/Ken so not sure Terry will be any different, but he certainly looks more interesting and fun. I think the KoF stage is what got me most hype. Been wanting a proper "walled" stage in smash for a while now. As for patch notes, my son Incineroar got buffs so win win for me >,>

As for the new mode I mentioned, I'm quite surprised it wasn't shown, or it could be saved for another time. Files names and images are all already in the game which is worth noting.

Could you share, out of curiosity? Spoiler if you think necessary.

(If it’s an exciting new mode then yes a spoiler is definitely necessary thank you.)

I'm happy with how this DLC has turned out. I think Terry is the best designed DLC character smash has ever had. I've spent several hours with him in training mode and I plan to spend a few hours more working on him, he just fun to mess around with.

Yeah Terry is fun, but I still struggle with consistent command inputs with the GC controller. When he clicks he can be absurd tho lol. Also in love with his stage. Not even joking, Little Mac might actually be broken on it too. No platforms or ledges to fall off on. He just becomes so much more fun to use and the KO's feel more satisfying.
