Because it's good. It doesn't even take that long to charge, especially when you can charge it yourself. It's also not a charge move in the typical sense, as it makes you faster and gives you access to 4 kill moves, one of which gives you greater recovery as well. The time limit means the Cloud player is forced to use their limit if they want to use it which encourages aggressive play. So balancing reasons basically.

It takes 2-3 times as long as Samus' charge shot or Donkey Kong's punch.

Right but half the moves don't even kill at like 100% where as other charge moves do

But limit is charged via manual charge, doing damage, and taking damage. It's definitely quick enough. Obviously the percentage it kills is based on weight, but the utility, speed and functionality limit brings and the 4 options more than make up for it. Also finishing touch kills at like 70 lol

It's like a gooseberry fool Arsene though. It's like if Arsene only let you get one buffed attack off

None of the similar mechanics in the game (Arsene, Sephiroth WWA, Inkling, Wario fart, Lucario Aura etc) take a way a move to let you manually charge them. He literally loses utility by having it because 99% of the time he only has 3 actual damaging moves.

I'm sure he's relatively balanced but any character can be if you jiggle round the numbers enough. He's just not very fun to play and his moveset doesn't represent the game he's from at all. Some kind of menu system thing like Hero got would have made way more sense and made him more interesting to play.

Inkling loses neutral B and multi-jab, and pretty much loses side B and smashes without paint. Arsene pretty busted tho ye. Lucario aura isn't really a charge, and Wario's takes about 2 mins to charge un-aided.

Shame if it doesn't hold true to the game (I only just started FF7 recently), but I find Cloud pretty fun, personally. I would much prefer balance over 'true to game'. Hero's menu is a terrible mechanic lmao.

So not only is the online in this laggy as all hell, for some reason it starts you off with 5 million GSP when most really good players are at 5-7 million

That means every time I want to play a new character online I have to lose about 5-10 matches in a row before I get put against someone that's even close to my skill level.

What a terrible system.

Also maybe I'm doing something wrong, but some match ups seems really imbalanced, for example Kirby against anyone who has longer normals than him online, because of the lag it's hard to be precise and react to missed attacks. So you just end up with players using Heavies or sword characters and flinging their giant hotboxes around and Kirby just gets demolished because he doesn't have the range.

Didn't know the default for GSP was 5 mill. That is kinda weird. I guess 5 mill is about the average? It kinda makes sense that it'll take a few matches for the game to collect data and more accurately place your skill level.

But yes the system has some flaws and the online is super laggy (wired is a god send. Not perfect, but would recommend). Most people ignore - or at least if they don't, they should - GSP. I'm sure people here would be down for a few games if you opened an arena, and there are plenty of communities out there for finding arenas. Also if you're doing 4 player matches online that will make it significantly worse.

Lastly, yeah, one of Kirby's biggest weaknesses is his short range, and his air speed doesn't make up for it either. He's just not a great character in general regardless of online.

It's definitely not the average. I was getting put against players who were combing me and edge guarding me (like chasing off stage, spiking etc) with zero issue.

Nintendo are so weird man, sometimes they try and innovate for the sake of it, just do what every other fighting game does and start people at zero.

I just have the standard 1 Vs 1, 3 stock settings on. I would use Lan but I only have a lite currently.

Yeah I assumed he wasn't top tier, he's not awful though and seems better than quite a few characters. I just find him really fun to play, stealing people's abilities is brilliant.

Turns the Minmin matchup into an actual joke, you just steal her ability and use it to edgeguard her and she can't do anything  got two kills in a row at sub 50% doing that

5 mill GSP isn't that high which is why I guessed it was about average. What GSP are you at now?

My Incineroar is at like 3.4 or something.

2 million felt like the kind of area where people who had just picked up the game for the first time should be placed.

Page 8 lmao. Come on guys, I know lockdown killed the game a bit, but it's still going. Who we hoping for tomorrow? Current speculation is Crash, Doomguy, Master Chief, and even the BotW Champions as a 4-in-1 fighter like Pokemon Trainer.

I still don't have the game. Or switch online. Any tolerable prices out there for this?

Cool to have a Tekken rep I guess. Don't think anyone saw this coming, nor do I think anyone really wanted it. Kinda just looks like Terry again.

What we thinkin crew?

Glad I chose to purchase these DLC packs separately rather than as part of the Fighter's Pass. Is there really enough crossover between fans of both Tekken and Smash to justify this?

Would rather have Heihachi, but it's about time Tekken got in.
