With GameMaker surely you have to have some programming skills? Is the stuff you can make limited, and can you use it to make a graphic adventure?
You may need some programming skills, but it depends on the complexity of the game you have in mind. GM gas its own scripting language. You could make a whole game just by using the GUI though. Stuff like physics, animation and collision detection are all integrated. Making a graphic adventure would be pretty straightforward. Of course, making a
good game is always difficult regardless of the tools you use.
