Supergirl to stage crossover with The Flash

The Flash’s Barry Allen is heading to National City!

Supergirl will stage a crossover with The Flash when Grant Gustin appears as the Scarlet Speedster on the upcoming March 28 episode of the CBS super series, EW has learned.

“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl —The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!” said The Flash and Supergirl executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. “We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros., and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”

Good episode, S01E13 - Surprised they killed the Aunt off. This was originally written as a season finale.

Back in 2 weeks in the US.

Been watching this, Benoist is incredibly good but everything else is vary variable

Black military guy is my favourite, the way they're hinting to the casual viewer he's evil with the red eyes whilst also making it incredibly obvious that he's martian manhunter.
Only four and a half eps in but I hope the rapey best friend guy dies

It's a very watchable show. Maxwell Lord in this though is an extremely poor man's Lex Luthor. Nowhere near Michael Rosenbaum Lex Luthor tier.

S01E16 - Probably the best episode yet, Evil Kara was hot with some good acting and action scenes. Nice Superman 3 homage.

I think this was the best episode of the lot so far! In fact, I wish Kara stayed a bit evil.... she was more fun.....

Max Lord needs to be better written though....

March 28th has a Supergirl/Flash crossover episode! :toot:

Good Episode, S01E18 - Great chemistry between Barry & Kara. Very good CW Line and Cat was very good overall. the Banshee costume was awful and the fireman scene was very cheesy.

The crossover show was enormous amount of fun and finally it clicked with me that the reason there so many superheroes who never clash with each other is because of this multiverse scenario :fp:.... I am sure they used the earth vibrations excuse in Fringe!

Not watched any since the pilot, but thought I would watch it for the cross over, I agree completely with you especially about the costume, I actually laughed when she appeared......

Barry and Kara were adorable together. If Supergirl ever gets cancelled they should try and fold her into the Arrowverse.

Decent finale - probably my fave part was Indigo getting ripped in half. No idea who's in the pod. My crazy guess is her mum.

Before I ask anything else about a potential Season 2, what have you heard about a renewal?
We heard very positive things, unofficially, from Les Moonves. [CBS Entertainment President] Glenn Geller and [executive vice president of current programs] Bridget Wiley — they’ve all been very, very supportive. We’re definitely talking about what Season 2 looks like.

More Flash crossovers are only a good thing. Barry has more chemistry with Kara than he does Iris.

That's probably due to him secretly Googling those 'pics' of Melissa..

‘Supergirl’ Casting Superman for Season 2

Superman is officially coming to “Supergirl” in Season 2, with casting currently underway for the role of Clark Kent/Kal-El, the cousin of titular heroine Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist).

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg released a statement on behalf of the show’s producing team, which includes EPs Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler. “Greg, Ali and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of ‘Supergirl,'” Kreisberg said. “Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season and we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!”

‘Supergirl’ Finds Its Superman: Tyler Hoechlin Cast In CW Series

As Supergirl prepares to fly faster than a speeding bullet from CBS to the CW, the network has announced that Everybody Wants Some! star Tyler Hoechlin has been cast as Superman/Clark Kent, the first live-action television incarnation of the Man of Steel since Smallville starring Tom Welling went off the air in 2011. As previously announced, Superman will make his debut on the DC Television universe, which also includes The Flash, Arrow, and Legends Of Tomorrow, at the start of Supergirl‘s second season when he visits Kara in National City.

“Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman,” said Andrew Kreisberg, executive producer of Supergirl. “We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.”

Hoechlin most recently was seen starring in Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some!, and will soon appear in the British action-thriller Stratton as well as the sports dramedy Undrafted. His credits include Road To Perdition, Hall Pass, Solstice and Teen Wolf.
