No one will ever worship a software entity peering at them through a camera.

Was going to post a video of Ace Ventura making yak noises, but couldn't find a decent clip to use.

Great pic anyhow ;)

Some more photos from my travels that I've been playing with to try and learn GIMP (/no context):

Anyone got any good starting points for learning the software? I basically downloaded it as it was free....

Very, very jealous of you visiting such exotic locations.

I'd make a joke about GIMP too, but every time i used to try and do so on ONM, it always fell as flat as one of Drumstick's gags.

Lovely pics anyhow.

Cracking shots, Errkal! I love the sky tones and the pebbles really pop. I guess they were taken on the wonderful south coast?

Yeah Pett Level just down the road from Hastings. When the tide goes out there is heaps of sand and rocks and that and near the cliffs you get a lot of fossils as in prehistoric times it was a forest.

...ah! Hastings is one of my favourite coastal places; terrific for taking in the sea air and walking along the cliff tops!

It is a nice place, I think being locked down and stuff has been way better than I have the beach and woods and stuff. If I was in a built up area it would be so so so much worse.

True, man. I kinda like some of the benefits of living in London but - beyond work factors - I think that I'd like to have the quieter, cleaner and generally more pleasant living environment of a smaller place. Hastings, like anywhere, has it's good and not-so-good aspects, but it seems to be a nice place to live.

Back from Dorset, some lovely places but I wasn't able to take many snaps as I was also looking after the doggo.

Durdle Door - What you never see about this place is the hike to and from it

I did however manage to use the drone a little bit.

One of the nicest beaches in the UK I've been to - Sandbanks in Poole.

Hello photographers of GRCade!

I'm thinking of getting a DSLR, but essentially don't know much about them.

What are considered good entry level ones and would it be worth getting a 2nd hand one first (if so where is good for that? ebay?)? Also does anyone have any good recommendations of websites/YT channels for DSLR novices?

The Nikon D3500 is meant to be a cracking camera, it has just been discontinued so you may get a bargain too.

A good place to get second hand cameras is MPB.

I've got a D5300, which is the next level up but basically the exact same camera with a few more bells and whistles.
