Tales From The Tribes

If you are currently an active / living player in Tribe Versus Tribe, DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD (you are welcome to vote, though)

This thread is created seperately so as to enable a public poll, which will decide the winner of Bonus Contest B.

A reminder of the Contest rules:

Herdanos wrote:BONUS CONTEST B

"Tales From The Tribes"

Any living player can submit a piece of writing to me. The deadline is 12pm (noon) Friday 21st October.

If you were living at the point of submission, your entry will be counted, even if you are subsequently killed.

On Friday afternoon I'll post all the (anonymised) entries in a seperate thread.

All of GRcade will then vote as to which is their favourite. The deadline will be Sunday afternoon.

This is ostensibly a Creative Writing contest, though you are welcome to co-opt / interpret as you like, as long as you adhere to these rules, and the general rules of the game.

So for example, if you wish to undo the anonymity of your submission within the piece itself, that is fine. You might also choose to write as if you are someone else.

Tribes can submit as many entries as they like (up to a maximum of one per player), but doing so may split votes and reduce your chance of being the outright winner.

The winning player will choose one of the three options outlined on page 201 (Democracy, Amnesty or Anarchy) and this will be subsequently put to the thread to vote upon.

The deadline for that vote will be 9pm Monday.

Good luck!

And below are the entries.

Which deserves to win? Vote now!

Entry 1

Entry 1 wrote:A Bromance across the Tribes

It was a beautiful Friday night and four tribes had decided to meet up together for a big party in the biggest bar in the centre of the town. Everyone was to come along on their own so that no one could distinguish who was from what tribe. Only those in their own tribe knew who belonged with them.

Tsundae arrived half way through the party and went straight to the bar. There she met a man who was wistfully gazing at another. He hadn't even noticed her sitting down next to him.

"Hi, I'm Tsunami, who are you?" She asked.
"Never mind who I am, who is he?" He turned to look at her.
"Him? That's Preezy..." before she could even finish her sentence, the man was up on his feet.
"Preezy. What a beautiful name. I must follow him"
"Where? He's literally just standing there"
"Wherever he goes, I must follow"
"But he's not going anywhere..."
"Shut up Tsunday dinner, I must follow my heart" he turned to look at her again. "This man is my true bro! I just know it!"

Preezy finally noticed the man staring at him and went bright red. He went to go to the toilet and the mystery man followed. After a couple of minutes, Preezy came out and walked straight to the bar, ordered himself an expresso martini and looked to the woman.
"Tsue me, who is that bloke that followed me in there? He's gorgeous!"
"He didn't give me his name, but I think he likes you too! I think he thinks you guys are true bros!" Tsuccumbus smiled
"His name is Ob Bob" the bartender said looking at the two of them "I've got intel on everyone here and.."
"Ob Bob..." Preezy fluttered, not letting the barman continue his sentence "he's amazing".

Whilst this conversation had been going on, Ob Bob had emerged from the toilets, winked at Preezy and looked like he was heading towards the door.

"I must follow him" Preezy said to Tsunday roast "don't wait up at the tribe hall for me!"
"You can't follow him" the barman chimed in from behind them, cleaning a glass "He's from another tribe. If you get caught with him and he finds out what tribe you're in, your tribe could all be in danger"
"I don't care. Tribe Your Eyes Mate or not, I know I should be bros with his man"
"Just let him go" Tsale at Tesco looked defeatedly at the bartender, "This is just Bladeforce all over again".

Preezy grinned and turned around, but Ob Bob was nowhere to be seen. He searched the entire building but couldn't find him anywhere. Defeated, Preezy decided to go home. He stood on his balcony and said to himself
"Oh Ob Bob, wherefore not in TYEM"
"Did you just say my name?"
Preezy looked down from his balcony and saw Ob Bob looking back up at him.
"Ob Bob! What are you doing here?"
"I only follow sexy people home so that's what I did"
"Want to go for a pint?"
"You just read my mind"
And so the two new best bros for life headed off into the night together. Best bros forever.

I'm a simple man. If there's only one option I can actually read with text, I go for the text option.
