So here's the thing- season 10 was really good and they seemed to have filmed that around the same time as 11. I don't know if they realised 10 was the good one so they chose to air that first on the new channel. I wonder if they spread themselves too thin doing two seasons so close to each other so 11's tasks suffered.

Primarily though I think it's the cast. I think that if the tasks were the same but season 10 and 11's casts were switched around, the new season 11 with the season 10 cast would be better than the season 10 tasks with season 11's cast.

The contestants are generally OK but the winner has been academic since about week four and the tasks have been a bit crap because, as you say, social distancing. The other problem is that this group has no lateral thinking skills, so they're all just kind of doing very similar things with the tasks they're given.

The series has improved for me, after a pretty weak start. It's definitely still one of the weaker seasons as a whole and mostly down to the contestants; individually they're all funny and have had moments but as a group they are too similar and too nice to each other. There isn't enough competitive edge or anger for me. No borderline cheating.

Ha, never noticed that before. Good on the other guy for keeping going.

It's not the worst series for me. The one with Joe Thomas was my least favourite

Yeah that series was far worse.

I'm enjoying this series, it's suffering a bit from following series 10 which was amazing.

Season 6 had Liza Tarbuck humiliate Alex Horne by making him sit on a cake though. That alone is funnier than anything I've seen in season 11.

Joe Thomas was s9 I think, wasn’t it? I think that was probably the worst of the lot actually, to the point where I’ve actually blocked it out of my mind a little bit.

Oh wait sorry Joe Thomas was season 8.

Ah s8, my bad. That was a really poor series but it came after s7, which I think was my overall favourite.

Series 8 is definitely the worst in my opinion. Series 6 was poor, but it had Tim Vine with the lost hook moment, which is better than anything I can remember from Series 8. Series 5 and 7 are my favourites.

I remember Greg Davis saying on the Taskmaster podcast before Xmas something happened in season 11 which was one of his favourite Taskmaster things of all time. I've no idea what he was talking about.

Agreed though, absolutely gooseberry fool series so far.
Tasks seem to have no imagination and are boring to watch.

I imagine Greg was referring to Mike's individual task.

I think season 11 has had a lot of ups and downs, like Season 6 and 9 for me. Some tasks have been just meh whilst others have had me laughing.

Season 8 is the worst hands down. I've had taskmaster on as background noise the past week and the contestants don't seem memorable at all. They don't seem to be as creative or funny as other past contestants. No idea if it's because Season 7 was just so brilliant and funny or if it's just a let down of a Season.

Season 7 is my most watched, hands down the best one in my opinion. The tasks are memorable, the cast was brilliant and I don't think I'll ever forget that damn photo of Greg thanks to Rhod

The best cast is S3 with Al Murray, Dave Gorman and Rob Beckett. Those guys were so into trying to find loopholes in the challenges.

S7 is the best season.
