Good news is that the series leaderboard, sans Katherine, is much closer now.

:dread:

Apart from John Hannah that's the kind of awful lineup people feared would happen after the move to Channel 4.

I wonder how much influence Channel 4 has in the casting process.

I liked Nicola in Derry Girls, and I don't really have much of an opinion on John having never seen much of his work.

Krishnan, Rylan and Shirley can all get to strawberry float. Awful picks.

Other than Krishnan Guru-Murthy I have no idea who any of those people are.

Sliding Doors is John Hannah's best film.

Also I love Rylan. Good line up imo.

Ohhhh that's his name. Though I can't think of anything besides The Mummy that I've actually seen him in.

I...don't have a massive issue with that line up? Nicola Coughlan is funny as strawberry float in Derry Girls and I like John Hannah. No real problems with Rylan or Krishnan Guru-Murthy and I'm interested to see what they make Shirley Ballas do.

John Hannah is brilliant in Touch of Cloth as well.

Rylan will either be a disaster or somehow win.

Episode 8 was... yeah. The acting task was a bomb for me, with Richard's 'rapist in the bushes' bit being the sole saving grace.

It seemed to eat up a lot of time.

Didn’t love the acting task but I did love Johnny falling over again. Katherine, Johnny and Daisy may be some of my favourite ever contestants. I like Mawaan too but could quite easily to do without seeing Richard anymore.

Ferfect chicken

The acting task was ok but really needed to be edited down. We really didn't need to see it over and over.

Editing it would've taken away the narrative of the task because skipping in and out of different actors in different roles would've been impossible to follow. Having said that I did find it started to drag a bit, but I think that's an inherent problem with the task itself. It wasn't a bad idea but it wasn't a world class watch. The last three or so episodes have been so good that this stands out.

Yeah, length of that task aside I thought this was another absolute banger of an episode.

The good news is that the leaderboard has really tightened up now, sans Katherine. Only 8pts separating the other 4.

Editing might not have been possible, but it was just so boring the second time we had to watch it. It would've been much better if it was just a Richard only task.
