I've been catching up on series 9.

It's SO much better than 8.

The comedians are just so much more likable.

Jo Brand is always great, David Badille is useless but very likeable. Would have been good if he'd been with Skinner in series 1.

Ed Gamble is actually really funny.

Kate Wicks is the one thats a bit boring but her being sick has added some variety.

And I'm a little bit in love with Rose Matafeo and her crazy hair.

Series 9 is top tier in my opinion, along with 7, 5 and maybe 4. I would put 1-3 and 10 in the middle tier, 6 and 8 definitely bottom.

Yes 5 and 7 also great. 5 had the perfect amount of comedians and lovely ladies  7 had Rod Ghilbert and James Acaster & they're just bloody great.

The series with that guy from the Inbetweeners was easily the worst. He dragged the entire show down, it was painful to watch at times.

Series 8 right? he didn't annoy me that much but the lineup was generally sub-par.

This is bloody magnificent so far. They all *get* it and have such great chemistry, plus the tasks are all fun.

Enjoying this much more than I expected.
For the donut task I was sure that someone would put a hose pipe through it and transfer a lot of water.

That's exactly what I said! Nicola Coughlan had a nightmare on that one.

That was excellent. Not sure about the cow judgement, but I guess that proves Greg right, it does annoy people on the internet.

Great special and shows they don't necessarily need comedians to make a funny show.

Nicola not using the sides of the triangle.

Genuinely would’ve been happy to see that stretched into a larger season. There’s no reason why they need to stick with comedians, especially given that they must’ve gone through about 80% of decent U.K. comedians at this point.

I think this was testing the waters a bit for involving non-comedians, for that very reason.

A fair point. I suspect we might start seeing some more comedy focused actors in the vein of Katherine Parkinson and Nicola Coughlan soon enough. Saoirse Monica-Jackson will be a lock for series 12 or 13, you mark my words.

I actually thought John Hannah was my surprise favourite last night, he had that proper dry, slightly self deprecating West of Scotland humour and it played well against Coughlan and, weirdly, Rylan.

Rylan was the big surprise for me. He was absolutely hilarious.

Yeah I thought he was brilliant. Super competitive as well, which I genuinely wasn't expecting!
