As the series goes on, it is becoming apparent that Joe didn't bother to watch a single episode of the show before signing his contract. Possibly the worst contestant ever.

Seems like this season is going to be a straight shootout between Lou and Ian.

I think he’s putting on an act. Surely nobody is thick enough to think a grape is going to win them points?

I honestly can't tell if Joe is playing a character or if he really is that weird.

I think it's becoming apparent that at some point, Joe became Simon, or he was Simon to begin with.

LOVED the volcano task.

I actually felt gutted for Ian when his failed to do anything.

I also liked the apology task. I think Alex got away with it, I would have been far crueller if I had access to his phone and car.

I was genuinely upset for him - he was so excited to win the task and it looked amazing.

Joe seemed to have woken up a bit this week, wasnt quite as gooseberry fool as before. The series overall is a bit flat compared to last year I think but some of the tasks are great, the volcano one was a highlight from this week.

The tasks are, on the whole, consistently good. A show like this relies heavily on its contestants and when you get duds it's very noticeable.

Totally agree. Would love to get a glimpse at the way they select/approach people. Surely every comedian would love to do it, if the money's right?

Haven’t watched the latest one yet, but in last week’s hammock task, Iain Stirling came across as such an arsey twat.

He's mildly less irritating in the new episode.

Didn't think the tasks on the new episode allowed for a great amount of ingenuity. Series leaderboard appears to be a one-horse race as well which is disappointing.

They haven’t showed a series leaderboard and I haven’t been keeping track at all. Is it Lou who is killing it?

Leaderboard is:

Lou 95
Iain 81
Sian 80
Joe 77
Paul 65

Agreed that it has been a bit flat this series. Lou and Iain are great, Sian is okay, but Joe and Paul look like they don't want to be there.

The last two episodes have seen Joe improve in my opinion. His prize task entries are rubbish which always gets him off to a bad start, but I've been laughing a lot more at his stuff recently so he does have his moments.

Mel Giedroyc wasn't the best contestant ever but her sandwich task and the guinea pig prize task were brilliant.

Yeah, I’ve seen it now and I agree.

How the hell didn’t anybody (Sian in particular) get disqualified for touching the sand?!

I enjoyed the latest episode but the “what’s in my pocket” joke at the start was better than any of the tasks.
