I would guess that the more popular the drink, the higher the increase as they know people will still buy it.

I still remember the disgust my grandad had when I was really little that the pub in his villiage had increased the price of a pint from 75p to a pound.

To be fair, a 33% increase is huge. I'd be livid too.

£7 for a pint? strawberry floating hell, I must getting old. I remember being able to get leathered at uni for that much money.

Most pubs here charge >£5 for a pint. No wonder they're soon to become an endangered species.

Other than places like 'spoons, everywhere here is £4.50 or more. Dunno if they are charging more since lockdown but it wouldn't surprise me if it's £5 a pint now.
