Good advice from AP there as always!

I'm still genuinely amazed that I've somehow got away with what I did. I was fully expecting it to be a horror show. :dread:

You took the tray out of the oven with your bare hands? Or did your hand slip out of the mitt as you dropped the tray?

Doesn't even just take stuff out of the oven bare handed? ;)

I was doing it one handed when it slipped and that's when it splashed on to the other hand . :fp:

The power has just gone off (again) I still have a few hours left of a presentation to do and I have 23% battery on the laptop, and 11% battery on my phone which is acting as a personal hotspot.

Went out to clean up the dog's gooseberry fool after he'd been out to the garden this morning, to be greeted with a murder scene on the gravel. A cat had beheaded an almost fully grown blackbird (so it still had it's fluffy brown feathers), which also had it's guts in a line beside it, presumably where the cat had stood on it while taking it's head off. Cleaning that up was fun, almost had it's talons brush my hand as I scooped it in to a bag.

It was a warning.

I realised the other day that if I close my left eye, I can barely read any text no matter how far away it is. It's all blurry and not in focus.

Probably worth getting that checked out sooner rather than later.

I'll need to wait for a vaccine first, don't want an optician breathing in my face.

Same here but sometimes it's not as bad as others.

My dystrophy affects all the muscles in my body so I think it might be the tiny muscles that control the eyes focus that aren't quite 100% functional at certain distances.

I should probably wear glasses but I'm not sure how I'd actually get them on properly as I use a headrest which supports my head from the side (thus partially covering the right side of my face) and permanently use a nasal cpap mask which completely covers the bridge of my nose,, so Ii don't know, maybe some kind of Gamesmaster esque cyberpunk monacle

Just been catching up with my mum about how my recent job interviews are going and she dropped a bomb by telling me my dad's been suffering symptoms for the past three weeks which sound to me like late stage cirrhosis. He's going to the doctor on Monday but I'd have rathered she hadn't told me anything about it until after my interviews are done. Hopefully I can put it to the back of my mind and it doesn't distract me from the task at hand.

I always knew he'd end up destroying himself through drink but the timing isn't ideal

I went to an optician where the entire experience of trying different lenses was done remotely. I don't know where they were, all I saw was them on a TV screen and all the lenses switched out remotely. It was a good time.

Just cooked enchiladas for the first time in years and damn they were good, so now I'm sat here thinking to myself "why the hell don't I do this more often?!" 8-)

Enchiladas are amazing and so easy to cook. It's the kind of food I can easily overeat.

Of course my Sunday evening is now spent waiting for a dumb bird to fly out of a small hole at the bottom of my chimney.

No context that all you like I don't care.
