I put Celebrity Gogglebox on last night just as we were tidying up before heading to bed and, I mention this purely because I find it interesting, the entire episode was just black people. All the groups watching television were black or mixed race, and they were watching shows or films featuring a black cast (like Get Out). Most of the adverts in between also featured a predominantly black cast.

I wonder if it's garnered any negative reactions from anyone else that bothered to notice, without any sense of irony that a black person could quite easily watch any hour of television without seeing a black face, at least until recent years. If it has, then it reminds me of the story Hugh Heffner published (wrote?) in an early Playboy, about an alternate world were heterosexuals were the minority and suffered persecution at the hand of the gays. His response to the complaints about a story where heterosexuals were marginalised purely because of their sexuality was to say 'yeah, strawberry floating exactly'.

Wasn't that part of Channel 4's Black to Front day, where all programming was both fronted and produced by entirely Black cast and crew?

Proabably a rerun of an episode from when C4 ran their Black To The Front project. They dedicated an entire day to just black fronted programming.
