Long story short but I'm just home from two days in the hospital and completely wiped out. Mercifully it wasn't what they thought it was and was probably viral, but all the tests and stuff were brutal. Taking the next few days off work sick and just gonna sleep I think.

This is awful Cora, that must have been so scary - I'm glad you're OK mate.

Nobody told me how potentially serious it was till my brother picked me up this afternoon, so it was only when he said "Yeah I didn't tell you but I shat myself when you told me about it, 15% of people who have that particular thing die on the spot" and I was like "...err, cheers for not telling me before" :fp:

strawberry floating hell, son. Glad to hear you're alright.

What were your symptoms and are you able to describe how it differs from a normal headache/migraine? What made you decide to go to hospital?

Lads

I was reaching over to close a door and I must've overstretched, something popped in the back of my head and I got the most intense pain I've ever felt in my life, as if I'd been walloped with a baseball bat, for the next fifteen or twenty minutes. I messaged my brother saying something along the lines of "mate, check this weird headache I got earlier" and his responses indicated genuine fear on his part. Kinda thought I should take it a bit seriously then because he's obviously fairly unflappable when it comes to medical stuff. And yeah, he made a strawberry floating good call not to tell me what it might've been at the time!

Funny enough a mate told us the same story.

Turns out he like to be on the receiving end of a donkey punch.

Just had to remove a dead rat our cat had dispatched in the back garden. It was a big bastard!

Used to get loads left by my old cat, sometimes the whole rat but more often just the upper part of the head complete with teeth. Once found a headless frog which had been totally hollowed out by carnivorous slugs (the white ones) and various insects and dried in the sun, forming a grotesque papery balloon.

Current cat (actually my sisters) prefers to mutilate birds but he's a bit of a wimp so doesn't successfully catch many.

Yeah he's caught mice and birds before but usually doesn't leave much for me to clean up. This strawberry floater couldn't of gone down without a fight - its front teeth were like 2 inches long! Also explains who's been eating the peanuts in the bird feeder.

Was just settling down to go to sleep and suddenly felt something on my face. After slapping it off, I switched on the light and there was a rather large and ugly looking spider dazed on the floor. A mean looking strawberry floater, I immediately crushed the strawberry floater with a book.

I'm not scared of spiders, but :dread: :dread: :dread:

There's a kid in my class who uses his laptop so the screen is in his lap and the keyboard is up against his stomach.

He's writing a whole lab report like that.

Like wtf

The carrot has mystery. ... There is, you'll agree, a certain 'je ne sais quoi' oh so very special about a firm, young carrot.

More reasons to hate BrewDog, has their wee scandal broken out of the marketing bubble yet? Scores of their ex employees (think it's over 100 at this point) have complained of working practices, likened it to a cult and said a large number of workers directly experienced mental illness due to their conditions.
