Back in my fat banana split days, I used to love double decadence pizza. Large one of those, double pepperoni topping, and a garlic dip (as if the base wasn't enough). Sometimes I'd have wings on the side.

I dread to think of the calorie intake on that, got to be 3000+ for one meal :dread:

It was strawberry floating amazing after the pub though.

I've always just stood up and shouted allahu akbar as we're coming in to land to show my multicultural tolerance. It's usually been pretty quiet after that.

Years ago we flew into Abu Dhabi as a stop on the way to South Africa. There were a large number of brits on the flight and as soon as we touched down a massive group of them who had been drunk and rowdy throughout the flight shouted "welcome to Abu Dhabi!!" in a mock Arabic accent. :dread:

No wonder as a nation we're an international embarrassment. :fp:

I hate the British abroad, such a strawberry floating embarrassment. Generally we try to avoid them if there's any where we're staying, but they always try to make friends with you.

"Ello, you woz on are flight wasn't you! E're don't you find the food a bit funny?"

strawberry float. Off.

The assumed friendship of "we're both brits aren't we yeah, we must be exactly the same!" is so tiresome. :dread:

We're the same in trying to avoid them, mostly when we go abroad we get an AirBnB place so we're on our own and don't have to worry about getting interrupted by "brits abroad"

British people in games are just as bad. I spend a lot of time in Japanese worlds on VRChat and every once in a while a non Japanese speaking British person will come in and it just makes me feel embarassed. Most of the time I want to avoid having to try to talk to them I just pretend I don't know English in the hopes they'll strawberry float off.

Genuinely once overheard someone on the beach in Spain (Benidorm) say they had to go back to their apartment to "check on the roast" as apparently their husband couldn't cope without his sunday lunch.

FFS, there's so many English bars in Benidorm that do sunday roasts if for some inexplicable reason you want that in 35c heat.

The place itself is actually really nice if you ignore all the places catering to the "oi oi bantz" brigade, which is easily done as its a fairly large area with plenty of proper Spanish restaurants and bars where you rarely see any of the most obnoxious brits.

That’s right - the ‘old town’ for want of a better phrase is worlds away from the stereotype. Shame really.

The thing is, all of these places are beautiful, and if you go to the old towns they're so nice, but strawberry floating British people are there like parasites ruining everything.

I haven’t been to Benidorm in over 20 years so I can’t tell you if the English are polluting the ‘old’ end. I hope not.

I think I'd prefer a resort full of lads than a beauty spot full of Instagram influencers. Upvote if you agree.
