Serious answer: In a calm and factual way, not unnecessarily, for the sake of having sensationalist headlines, trying to whip up a petrol station panic buy situation on food and goods that will lead to misery.

The worst part (from my privileged perspective) is that this doesn't seem to be happening. Brexit/Tory supporters are determined to carry out Olympic-level mental gymnastics to place the blame anywhere else.

(I know this is overall a twatty thing for me to say. Many, many people will suffer awful hardship along the way.)

It won't reverse Brexit or get rid of the Tories though.

Yep, it's mental. I work in imports for a big retailer, and part of our hopes for improvement next year is actually that smaller firms won't be able to stomach the increased cost of shipping long term, and will be forced to massively reduce their own imports, freeing up some capacity in the market for us.

I support this proposal.

It was only a joke. There's no way the news can report on kittens as we currently have a national kitten shortage.

FAKE NEWS!

We got a kitten on the weekend, and in this exclusive report I can reveal that it is currently sleeping:

If the government is anything to go by, arseholes are still plentiful in supply.

We missed out on the puppy in the end as some panic buying bastard clearly beat us to it! :x

Our current dog is very chilled out about the new arrivals though (we got the kitten in the picture and a 3 year old cat together at the weekend). The dog is 13 and basically I think has decided that she's too old to give a gooseberry fool any more!

It won't happen because the Tory supporters aren't going to be the ones primarily impacted. The people who feel the real impacts of shortages are going to be people who typically never voted Tory anyway.

Celebrity Trash Monsters: What's Your Waste Size? - Sunday 9pm-10:30pm, Channel 4

Image

Jon Richardson challenges celebrities John Barnes, Jodie Kidd and Kerry Katona to make clothes out of their own rubbish to discover the impact their waste has on climate change. The three stars then must go about their daily routines for two weeks exclusively wearing their rubbish.

TV has now reached a point where Monkey Tennis and Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubanks is less stupid than what is currently getting commissioned.
