I don't mean to trivialise your grief but you do need to pull yourself together, it is only an alarm and there are plenty more of them out there. Of course you will miss the one that has gone, but time is a great healer and you will move on and manage to find another.

You say that, but it took me at least 6 alarm clocks to find the one I currently loose, when it dies its going to be a bloody nightmare finding a new one!

I would've done if I'd gone to work today, I think. Had a baguette at 1pm and by 1.30pm was getting rid of it the wrong way. Went for a dangerous, ill advised walk after it just to get out of the house, and thankfully emerged unscathed.

I was in the bathroom earlier and some guy went into the cubicle next to me. Cue several minutes of straining, grunting, groaning and exhausted sighs as he tried to do his business. I dread to think what the diets are like of people like that - how does it take that much effort and exertion?!

Either that or he was playing Severed on Vita.

Speaking of toilet cubicles, a few years ago I was in one and next door was all like:

* Sound of toilet roll being pulled from the dispenser a few times

* A few sniffles

* Wipe sound

> Guy muttering under his breath: "oh god, not again."

* Sound of a lot of toilet roll being pulled from the dispenser
