A two quid tip?!? . So customers have to top-up the lousy wages that Amazon pay their drivers? Amazing.

On top of the £80 a year. strawberry floating joke

Oh a related note, we had a new dishwasher delivered on Sunday and I tried to tip the two guys who brought it in and took the old one out. They flat out wouldn't take it, I guess they're told not to accept such things or they get paid properly.

Oh ok doing some digging it seems it may be only on same day deliveries and only on under over £40. So for 99.9% of people it will no difference what so ever.

I think the Amazon charge £3.99 is for Amazon Prime customers who want same-day delivery. I can’t trace anything official about giving the driver a tip.

Edit: Errkal :x ... .

Don't use Amazon anymore tbh. I sometimes buy the odd Christmas present from them each year but that's it.

Yeah same all I can find is people bitching that "OMG they are going to charge for everything" and that it is a charge same day under 40 stuff.

Doesn't really seem like that big a deal as I dont think there is anything I would buy from Amazon that I "have to have right now" and I imagine it costs a bomb to do same day delivery even with an £80 prime membership so £3.99 seems reasonable enough.

Argos is pretty cool for delivery nowdays; for any item in their “fast track” range you can get same-day delivery for £3.95. You can even choose a two-hour delivery window.

You can find it next to the Shane Ritchie Country & Western (no, really) album.

Who buys this gooseberry fool?

I’ve not seen the Shane Ritchie one.

I think Bradley Walsh did one last year. :fp:

He was on The One Show performing it on Thursday or Friday last week. It was utterly bizarre. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a self-funded venture, or a tax write-off by a studio.

Bradley Walsh was the best selling debut artist in the UK in 2016.

On the set of Dragon's Den.

I'm positive this song used to be the theme to a Michael Barrymore programme in the 90s.

Imagine being one of those musicians and having to feign enjoyment and enthusiasm because you're just happy to have a paying job. I often wonder if the musicians for these acts actually take any pleasure in it at all, must be a bit disheartening to have this talent for playing music, but only getting to use that talent to line the pockets of people like Shane Ritchie.
