I had one of mine out a few years ago. They put me on Hydrocodone for the pain. Very unpleasant medicine. I wasn't put out completely for the op either, I was woozy as all strawberry float, and numb, but very aware, and quite fearful in the still-conscious recesses of my mind.

Kicking myself that I didn't have the other one removed at the same time, since it's now peeking through the gums but at an angle, like the first did, sans infection. If it gets infected like the first though, ick, have to get it sliced out.

They're like tiny keratin wise men who won't leave you alone, so you have to cut and dig and pull until they go away.

I had a wisdom tooth out last year - in the gums a fair bit and got decayed/infected to core.

Emergency Sunday appointment - nice friendly,slight, Dentist xrayed me and then talked me through what would happen and numbed the mouth. Then big manly burly Dentist came in and (basically) aggressively hacked and pliered it out while huffing and puffing.

They 'good dentist/bad dentist'-ed me!

Just had a minor snowstorm lol

Im heading to Poland next month where apparently the dentists are really good (as they are all private and thus compete with one another) and a lot cheaper than here so Im going to give them a shot and see what its like.

RIP my gob, maybe.

I felt nothing (although I was aware of pressure/head moving)

Then next few days it was fine - no pain or issues really.

The hole tasted really funny for ages, and you have to be careful not to dislodge the clot. It felt like it tasted bad, but really it just didn't taste "right". And then it heals and you miss the funny tasting discharge you got as your gently tongue the hole

I had a wisdom tooth out a couple of years back and it was easy. Few painful needles and some tugging (standard Friday in my mouth) and it was gone. Wound took a little while to heal but it was all negligable.

The worst part of having a wisdom tooth out was having to swill salt water in my mouth several times a day for a few days to keep the hole from getting infected.

Hexx probably enjoyed that bit though.
