I’ve assumed that his maths skills are top notch, I wouldn’t trust him to write a letter for me.

Have you checked to make sure you're claiming all the things you're entitled to like Child Benefits and Working tax credits?
A ton of people assume "I have a job so I'm not entitled to anything" and aren't claiming what they're genuinely entitled to get.

I believe there's a government website where you can input all your details and check what you might be entitled to claim.

Absolutely speak to your bank Lewis. Also speak to any loan/Credit Card companies regarding reducing your outgoings. People are scared to do this but they shouldn't be. These companies don't want to bankrupt you. They want you to be able to pay back their money so will be flexible.
Do think about getting a consolidation loan but if you do then absolutely cut up your old Credit cards.
As mentioned, keep a record of all your finances, and plan an allocation of money per month you can spend on certain things (food etc)
Review all your monthly bills. Get rid of anything you don't need (Sky TV etc). Look to change gas/water supplier if you think you can save money (uswitch.com)
Hopefully if you do the above your outgoings will be reduced. Use the extra money to pay off loan.

Been there myself and no how rubbish it is, but it is possible to dig yourselves out of these type of situtations.

strawberry floating wedding season though. We're going to two full day things and another reception, I've got a hen weekend and Anung has a stag do in Prague. And its all managed to fall around the 5 weeks travelling we've already booked. Now we need to pay for Outfits, travel, acommodation and presents for them all. Gunna be too strawberry floating poor to celebrate Christmas this year.

My brothers best man has organised his stag do for strawberry floating Nottingham of all places :fp:

You know you can wear the same outfit for all of the weddings and your regular clothes for a stag or hen.

Bridesmaid for one so the dress is bought but I'll need shoes. It's more the travel and staying over that's gunna cost us.
