This Roseanne thing. Reading tweets out is journalism now.

They sort of have to be news when the whole story is about what is said on Twitter.

In don't see them reading out my breath of the wild tweets, they should be news.

The Illuminati are supressing your Tweets as part of their plan for a New World Order.

Right, the wasps have long gone from my flat. Next up it seems to be birds.

For the past few days I have heard baby birds squawking in the the guttering / edge-of-the-roof bit. I think they're in a nest under the eaves. I can't get to it from the loft area but they're making a racket by the bedroom window.

Why is my flat some kind of nature reserve?

I think your flat is a time machine, how else do you explain the Neanderthals living next door?

Chuck a glitter grenade into their nest then seal them off with blu-tack.

The Neanderthals are downstairs. My immediate neighbours are lovely people. It's almost like a heaven-and-hell scenario!

i.e. the horrible people are in hell, my neighbours and the birds are in heaven whilst I'm somewhere in the middle  .

To be fair, blu-tac has a 100% success rate so far. I just need to get enough to fill the entire loft area.

Next door, upstairs or downstairs. It’s all the same thing when you use wasps to break the spacetime continuum.

Just because you've trapped them behind blu-tac doesn't mean they're not there

Does anyone work nights? I've just done 2 night shifts, have tonight off then back for another night shift tomorrow. Would you just stick it out and stay up or try and get a decent night's sleep?

I’ve not worked a night shift per se, but successive late nights. I used to just get into a rhythm after 2 days or so, getting used to it. I say stay up.

Taf’s still up, he’s good for an overlong pointless argument or 50. Kills some time, at least.

It's the gamble of getting woken up by some strawberry floater in the morning or just not sleeping well. Watching TV or playing games all night sounds pretty good though.

I used to work nights a few years ago.

The way my shifts worked were that I'd work during the day Thursday, then have Friday during the day off, then work 6pm-6am Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night, followed by the entire week off and back at work on Monday morning the following week.
The way I did it was to work Thursday, stay up all Thursday night then sleep during the day Friday from about 6:30/7am until at least 2pm.

Can't sleep.

Been on the lemsip for a man flu / sore throat combo.
Forgot that lemsip has caffeine in it so I'm not sleepy.

I'm working till 8pm tonight then nightshift tomorrow so I'll be staying up as late as I want then sleeping in all day. :toot:

Then Saturday I'll end up staying awake all day to reset my sleep for Sunday morning shift if I can get one for that double time beauty.
