Started with your standard cold.
Then ebbed away a wee bit then re-emerged as sinuses.
Then for the last month a cough, which then became a molasses-thick pleghm cough which I'm still battling and now a strawberry floating sore throat on top.

I'm really trying to avoid antibiotics, but I'm 12 hours away from caving in. Or trying to kiss a moving train.

Either or.

Why would you want to avoid antibiotics? If you have a bacterial infection, it's fine to take them as long as you take the full dose. You get problems when you stop taking them as soon as you feel better.

Seems like it’s still hotly contested according to that article

Tbh that was from memory, couldn't be bothered reading it again.

Folk up to much the night? Relatively quiet one for me I think, house party with about 15 of us should do the trick. Cba heading into town, still haven't fully recovered from a techno gig the other night.

I'm on call tonight and tomorrow so can't drink :(
£200 bonus in it though plus Double time for any callouts with a 1 hour minimum, so hoping for a couple of nice 5-10 minute easy fixes :shifty:

Haven't gone out on New Years Eve for years though, not worth it. Even the shittiest pubs will be charging £10-20 on the door to get in and the drinks will be at triple the usual prices, then triple/quadruple for a taxi home. Way better to just have some friends round/go to a friends house and get your own booze from the supermarket at normal prices.

Absolutely strawberry float all 8-) just me and the wife, got an Indian meal for two with sparkling wine and one of my (not her :slol:) favourite films on the go. Perfect.

Would quite happily go to bed after the film and not even bother to see it in. New Year is shite — why would I want to celebrate Christmas being over in the knowledge I'm about to have to go through by far the two worst months of the year? :dread:

Begrudgingly having a small family get together (Parents, me, my sister, brother and his mrs) but would rather not bother as I tend to get migraines if I have a drink or stay up past 10 ish (utter lightweight I am).

Had an extra long lie in this morning in preparation for the festivities..

We're staying in too, but I'm tired and my partner is ill so I'm playing video games with Ella and drinking a can of cider when the clock hits midnight.

Staying in and having an early night is the new rock n roll. We are right, it’s the kids that are wrong.

Also staying in.

Knocking back the amoxicillin with a Baileys.
Might wait for the missus to fall asleep and finally play Battlefield with Peter.

I'm just here in the house wondering around my town in Animal Crossing New Leaf waiting for the big moment to happen. Which will be a minute after it actually happens as my 3DS is one minute behind the real time.

Now, in a dream situation, I'd be down about a mile south camping up on the hills to watch a dozen different fireworks displays ringing the New Year in.

Being back to work is hitting me pretty hard right now. Spent 11 solid days with my wife and son (and various other family members) and it was great.
