We just had it on for a few minutes to see how bad it was.

Richard Madeley is throwing dice through a miniature Las Vegas.

I’m out.

I'd like to know where you think dice should be thrown.

Couple at my old job got married a few months ago after banging on about it constantly and annoyingly for the whole year leading up to it. At the same time I was planning my wedding, though we eloped and kept our intentions mostly quiet.

They’ve split already.

I genuinely can’t get my head around it, without a traumatic discovery of unfaithfulness or something? How could you commit to so much then bail so quickly? I’ve been a wife for 6 months and still trip up when someone asks my name, but very much do an inner squeal when I realise the new name is correct and not just future planning. Its only been a few months, surely you’d try to work things out to save face at least? Bloody expensive strawberry float up otherwise.

I always figure they were basically broken up say a month before the proposal and thought that some how the marriage would solve things.

They forget about issue during planning as attention is on them and they feel special, they wedding day is magic etc. But once the attention goes and there is no planning to do they have to see reality again and the end comes, unless she is already preggo as that that point they have attention and planning to distract a bit longer.

Think Errkal's got it right - that sounds like a couple who were ready to split and thought marriage would save them. strawberry float that, I say. :slol:

One of the directors at my wife’s company was having an affair with his secretary (cliche or what!). While having the affair with him, she got married to her partner.

People are crazy.

BBC News wrote:A customer who called a bank to apply for a loan was told "all vegans should be punched in the face".

The Bristol woman, who did not want to be named, went to NatWest for a loan to pay for a £400 nutrition diploma.

The bank said the outburst - which came after the woman told the bank worker she was a vegan - was "wholly inappropriate".

How can spot a vegan at a party....

To be fair she was trying to get a loan to do a nutrition diploma, why she was interested in nutrition was probably relevant

But also yes

I was caught between that perspective but also in the back of my head thinking "surely he must be much older than that already?!"

He was called up for the 2006 World Cup.

2006 was about 3 or 4 years ago.

So he must be coming up to 21 years old.

I genuinely think like this. To me 2006 is "new", you have to go back to the 90s before my brain is prepared to accept that any significant amount of time has really passed!

Went to work yesterday with back pain and made it worse, so took today off but I've got a cold coming on too. I feel like total gooseberry fool atm.
