Only there for the Saturday. Cannot wait.

I've never been to a comicon, ever. Which is odd considering my interests. I think I have still have a weird shame thing going on re: it all, bored into my skull by former classmates (then occasionally workmates after that) ripping the piss when I spoke about liking video-games and sci-fi novels.

Oh well. Maybe one day,

I haven't been to comicon in about 5 years. Has much changed?

There's less stuff to do and more shitty shops basically. It's only worth it to meet up with people.

Good point. Not my intention, apologies all.

Are you two joking? I only ask cause I assume you said monkeys with bubbles cause MJ had a monkey called Bubbles?

I'll be honest, when I saw Bubbles, my mind went to Powerpuff Girls  34 years old and still a child.

Yeah I was going for the MJ ref, but it was probably still a bit misjudged!

Also - snap on being 34!

I was joking.

I spotted the bubbles/monkey connection and the recent Danny Baker racism. thing popped into my head.

You get charged for selfies now - which is a bit harsh. Other than that it's, still awesome. There's plenty to see and do despite what stay dead says. Although meeting up with friends is a great thing about it.

En route to Bristol for a night. Already pretty knackered from a day of overtime and this flight is delayed for God knows how long.

Just had a proper Curb moment on a train. Went to the loo and opened the door, to find this woman already in there, sat down, who hadn't locked the door. She screamed. (I think this was a bit unfair.) Anyway so I'm saying "sorrysorrysorry" and hitting this door button again, but hilariously the door wouldn't close from the outside, and she was obviously shouting at me to close it, so I have to double down on the inappropriate behaviour and kind of lean in to hit the close button, which to be fair did get the screaming to stop. I try to helpfully add in my most polite voice "you, uh, need to push the lock button now madam" but, well, I think that only made her mood worse. At this point I'm like, OK, I haven't done anything wrong, and if I run off I'll look guilty, right? So the correct thing to do is to just wait outside like nothing's happened. As she comes out she says nothing but just gives me this intense look of hatred and disgust. :dread:

I mumbled an apology. What made me mad though was the corridor was full of people sat around, who all kept their heads down and pretended it wasn't happening. Surely one of them could have told me when I went to open the door in the first place...

Can't say I've ever been to toilet on a train before though (and even if I did need to, they always seem to be out of order!).

So many no context options, so little time.

What sort of monster goes to the loo on the train though? You're never going to be clean again

I had something very similar happen to me The last time we went on a long flight. Was waiting by one of the toilets near the rear of our section (by the Povvo curtain) and this guy must have been in the cubicle for a good 15 minutes, so I gave up waiting there as I could see the light up by the cockpit one saying it was vacant. Walked up there and pushed the door open to be greeted with a grizzly growler of some fat old woman who angrily shouted and then pushed against the door with her foot. I said, "lock the door then!". She STILL didnt lock it.And then went back to the other place to wait, but now had to join the back of the line.

Thing I don't get is the lights don't come on unless you shut and lock the door, so surely she knew.

Disabled toilets are just as disgusting. I once had to use one that someone had changed a baby in and left the shitty nappy on the floor, with the contents running out no less.

Another one had a wasps nest (I have a proper full on phobia of wasps and hornets)) in it which I didn't actually notice until mid piss, don't think I've ever urinated as quickly in my life, didn't even wash my hands as I just couldn't stand being in there any longer.

I think I’m allowed to tell you this - I filmed an episode of a popular tea time game show this afternoon, and it was great fun. If you’re interested in which one, I’m sure you’ll be able to find out for yourself somehow. :slol: I can see completely how DML got the bug for this stuff.
