In other news, I moved today. Bunch of stuff still at my old place kitchen wise so I've got some clearing to do, its also way more dusty than I ever imagined once I moved my bed.

Internet not working here as they said it would, looks like the internal cabling wasn't done correctly to the WAN port as I've got no physical connection to them (even though the router works fine and everything). They can't fix it until Wednesday, but oh well I'm here and it's nice

I like convenience, but either Amazon has already replaced all their workers with those rumbas that move shelves or their workforce is going to die from exhaustion soon.

I've still got stuff at my old place (not much, just bits and bobs) that I need to bring over and I need to go clean, but I can't really do anything without a car and my Dad's away until Sunday. I feel at a bit of a loss of what to do. I've mostly finished unpacking my boxes and it feels like I should be doing something, but I'm not entirely sure what I should do.

It’s not that great, when gooseberry fool breaks you have to fix it, and you have to change your own light bulbs too.

And then when you're changing a light bulb and the fitting breaks, you have to fix that too.
And then you still have to change the bulb after.

Work are offering overtime at time and a half for the next few months. I calculated that I could take home the best part of an extra £3,000 in that time. Can't turn that down but it does mean giving up my Saturdays and Friday mornings.

I'm in the same boat - we're being offered double time overtime(but my hourly wage isn't huge so it's probably less overall). I'll be working 15-20 extra hours per week between now and mid-July to make sure we can afford the additional 40 guests that have said they'll be able to make it to our wedding. :slol:

I haven't had overtime for years. Used to take full advantage of it, working an extra hour each side of the regular day and six hours on Saturdays. That was the only way I managed to save up for my first mortgage deposit.

Now I just work overtime anyway, for no extra pay :fp:
