Just spotted that one of the people at work has a picture of his kids which he has converted into a mouse-mat. At first I though that was quite a cute thing to do, but the more I think about it the more it seems a bit odd - a picture on your desk or maybe printed onto a mug or something, great that makes sense - you can look at that and be reminded of the people you love. But a mouse-mat is basically the thing you spend all day dragging a mouse over, scuffing it up, banging it when it doesn't work, spilling things on it etc

Who sits at work and thinks: I know, wiping my filthy device over the faces of my loved ones is the thing that will bring me joy!?
