The only energy drink I would take is Lucozade, if that counts. Never had Monster or anything like that.

Lucozade was basically medicine in the 1980s. All I associate it with is feeling unwell.

Yeah Lucozade was originally created as a medicinal drink, hence the slogan "Lucozade aids recovery!"

It's made at a factory in the Forest of Dean I think so I recall people refusing to drink it back in the day as they said it would turn them into inbred morons with webbed feet. :fp:

It's basically all we've got besides the Drug money laundering takeaway places.

Pizza Hut and Papa Johns are both a good 10 miles away so won't deliver.

The quality of pizza chains and who is better seems to depend on where you live. For me Domino’s is far and away the best (delivers within 20 minutes), Pizza Hut is okay as it has improved recently under new management, and Papa Johns has gone to hell...which is also where their garlic butter resides. Never tried Topps Pizza, and not had Pizza GoGo in over 20 years.

I always found Dominos to be pretty good back in Leeds, but over here in HK Pizza Hut is strawberry floating amazing.

There's a gooseberry fool ton of competition out here tho, and it's expensive as, so anywhere trying to palm off mediocre stuff goes out of business in weeks.

Saw this tweet this morning and had some sort of out of body experience where I was 8 again eating marmalade on toast in front of a two bar heater after band practice

Open question for the thread because I'm interested:

Do your colleagues turn up to work on Fridays? I work in one of the largest stock exchanges in the world and 90% of staff here didn't come into work today. The office is a sea of empty desks.

My sister is working in the media and says it's the same over there too.

Im currently sat in a half empty office like I am every Friday while a lot of people "work" from home. Thankfully everyone on my team works Fridays and its only other teams that do this for the most part. The entire marketing team are never in on Fridays, they all either work 4 day weeks or work from home on a Friday.

Why don't we all just drop the charade and move to a four day working week?

Friday is just as busy in the office as any other day here

I'm all for the four day working week though
