I had tagliatelle with sun-dried tomato pesto, chicken & asparagus for dinner. I cooked it myself. I don’t know where this stands on the Top Gear Cock-o-meter, but it was very nice.

What’s so complicated about this?

She had intrinsic knowledge of the cooking today I didn’t have and also intrinsic knowledge of cooking that came from like 15 years more cooking than I’ve done

My knowledge is very low regarding the subject so I do recipes or require guidelines, hers is thousands of times more skilled than mine ergo she has an intrinsic skill of cooking that I do not..?

What it has to do with her strawberry floating fanny I have no strawberry floating idea but there you go

Sounds like Taf ASSUMED the gender and power dynamic in our home and put roles on us without understanding us to suit his need to find patriarchal domination in all aspects of others lives

Maybe it’s a guilt thing he feels the need to put behaviour on others even if it didn’t happen

I feel actually quite upset and offended that something so offensive and ill informed could have been foist upon my family

I have a question and it's probably stupid, but I'm in my new place and I've been using 1Gbps Up/Down internet now for the last 3 months on a free trial from hyperoptic. If I continue this on it'll cost me 60quid a month, which is only about 8 quid more than what I used to pay BT for 30Mbps. It's been an amazing service, but I can drop down to 150 up/down for 25 quid less and I'm really unsure of what to do.

I'm really wondering if I'm actually ever getting full usage of the full gig up and down and whether or not it's actually worth an extra 25quid a month. What would you guys do?

Do you like the service and have the money to spare?

There’s the answer

If you can't specifically think of a use for 1gb, I'd say you don't need it.

150 is generally fine and I doubt the extra £25 is worth it.

I like it and I believe I have the money to spare, but as I haven't had a normal month financially (with overtime, additional costs of moving in) I really don't know for sure. The thing is with what I use the internet for (streaming, uploading videos, torrenting and other general use) I'm really not sure if I'm ever getting full usage out of that gig.

Depends what you do with it.

I stream films and that and am on 67 down 20 up with no issues.

Unless you are hosting services you probably don’t need it.

Depends on your usage I guess. If you do more streaming of content than file downloading then I doubt you’ll notice a difference. Like I’m pretty sure most 1080p video sites like Netflix and the like only use about 8-10mb/s.

But if you’re a big steam guy then yeah you’ll notice.

Also I’m hella jealous

Well if you're going to be like that I'm not telling you! ;)

Must admit I want paying too much attention to the thread so missed that I dropped this into the middle of a very important conversation about male privilege and the challenges of adequately preparing root vegetables!
