What a strawberry floating weekend. Eldest daughter has been on one.

Physically attacking myself and mum. Slapping, Punching, Biting, kicking throwing all sorts at us.
This morning before school she decided to cut her own hair. Which resulted in her refusing to go to school. More kicking and throwing.
Mentally we are exhausted.

Saw these in an old copy of Official PlayStation 2 magazine...

I text her and said I wanted to go running through fields of wheat, and strangely she was well up for it.

Waiting in the cinema for a film to start and the guy two seats down for me just took his shoes off and then put his feet up on the recliner :dread:
I'm pretty sure I'm already getting whiffs of his feet :dread: :dread:

Edit - And the girl sat behind me just announced to her the people she's with "and you better believe I'm taking photos of the best scenes" :dread: :dread: :dread:

I strawberry floating hate the cinema.

Actually no, that's not fair. I strawberry floating hate other people at the cinema. The absolute disregard for their fellow patrons is infuriating to the point of tears.

I would legitimately pay upwards of £50 a time if it guaranteed me a completely empty, silent cinema.

If she did take any pictures she at least had the flash off so I didn't notice. If she'd been infront of me I absolutely would've complained if only because her phone screen would've been annoying and distracting as hell.

Other people are the worst thing about the cinema. Went to see 1917 last week, and there were so many people in there just being generally distracting, rustling food packets, talking to each other, getting up to go to the loo in the middle of the film, using their phones so you can see the light of their screen.

In an ideal world, new films would be available to stream at home from day 1.

There really should be a member of staff in every cinema screening watching for people getting their phones out or talking to each other once the film starts.

The Odeon Luxe near Broad Street in Birmingham is a great experience. They halved capacity, put recliner seats in with plenty of leg room and space between people. Tickets are only £11-£13 too from memory, which is obviously a little pricey but Meerkat Movies puts them down to £5.50-£6.50 which I’m fine with.

The Showcase that I went to is one of the Showcase de Lux branches, so they've also lowered the screen capacity and put a bunch of huge recliners in, but it doesn't really help if people decide to talk or get their phones out or anything.

I absolutely loved it the first time I went in there. I need to go again soon.
