That's pretty grim Denny, glad there's been a happy-ish ending to it at least. Take a bit of time off and chill out a little, I'd say.

Absolute pettiness is what it is. You don't agree with me, I'll destroy your entire career, even though it's not worth it. Heat of the moment stuff that has serious repercussions if the person doesn't own up to it, so I'm glad that person had enough sense to do so. Just hope it doesn't have any lasting effects.

That's gooseberry fool Denny, but hopefully things can now move on since it's been retracted.

Holy gooseberry fool are Audiobooks strawberry floating expensive.

I kind of fancied the audio version of the Harry Potter books for in the car during my drive to work.
Then I looked on Audible and saw it would cost £186 for all 7.
Slight cheaper on the Google Play store, at £165 for the 7

I expected maybe a tenner per book or some kind of £50-60 bundle for the lot, not almost £200.

To be fair I bet producing unabridged audiobooks is a massive pain in the ass. It's probably why audible prefers you go for their subscription model.

Denny that sounds awful, I can't imagine how it must feel to be put in such a situation.

Partner was given a laser hair removal machine for free to product test, and it didn't work so she sold it on gumtree for £185.

Tried depositing the cash in the bank yesterday and £160 worth of the notes were fake :fp:

The bank gave the notes back to us too, which I was quite surprised by...so that's a lot of birthday gifts sorted for the next year :shifty:

Blimey, Denster, false accusations of that nature are just vile as they have to be investigated; I hope that you are soon over what must have been a horrendous experience, man.

How? Some of them seem to be about £33 each when I looked last night.

Just read them for yourself. It’s way cheaper.

Imagine paying to have someone read a children's book to you.

Driving down the motorway at 70mph whilst reading a book. What could possibly go wrong?

Pretend to be blind and get the books for free.

No worse than not concentrating properly because you're engrossed in a story.

Besides, the 4 cardboard pages would be pretty easy to turn whilst driving.

I think there's a way to get audible stuff cheaper most of the time. I believe you buy the Kindle version of the book and the upgrade for a few pounds more to the audio version.
