I kind of fancied the audio version of the Harry Potter books for in the car during my drive to work.
Then I looked on Audible and saw it would cost £186 for all 7.
Slight cheaper on the Google Play store, at £165 for the 7

I expected maybe a tenner per book or some kind of £50-60 bundle for the lot, not almost £200.

You can get all of them for like £26 on Audible

How? Some of them seem to be about £33 each when I looked last night.

Don't buy them for money. Buy them for 1 Credit. 1 Credit gets you anything on the site, regardless of price.

IIRC a lot of libraries have an app where you can "borrow" e- and audio-books as you like.

The council webpage for my local library does list audiobooks (£1 per CD for 4 weeks) so I'll maybe take a look tomorrow.

Never even thought of a library having audiobooks. Been years since I went into one.

They probably assumed it was the owner and they'd lost the key/combination or something. My old colleague had a story of a guy at uni who took an angle grinder down to the bike rack (as he had lost the key) and no one questioned it
