There is one person who has decided to work from home today, but otherwise it seems like the normal amount of people.

Only the managers (and the person I mentioned above for some reason!) have the option of working from home, but there are rumours that we will all be given the option soon. It’ll be nice to have the flexibility to do it, but I don’t think I will do it very often – I know I would do literally no work at home and I would soon be caught out.

I dont do it because I have 2 kids at home and they wouldnt give me a moments peace. I did it for a couple of days when we had a really bad snow and the in laws (who live nearby) called over to make snowmen and ago sledding and stuff. They could not wrap their head around the fact I was working. I could hear my wife trying to explain it to them

"So hes upstairs"
"Yes, hes working"
"But why doesnt he want to come sledding"
"He does, hes just at work and cant"
"But hes not at work, hes upstairs"

Could not grasp the concept at all.

I'd still have gone sledding to be fair.

We don't really have the option of working from home so Friday is just as busy as every other day in the office really. There are a couple of people who work a few longer days during Mon-Thurs so they can leave a bit earlier on Friday, and one guy who is only on 4 day weeks so he's not in but other than that it's just another 9-5:30 day.

The few times I have worked from home in the past I've got strawberry float all done. I'm far too easily distracted!

We have the option of working from home, but tbh I get more done here and only really wfh if I have to. I use the flexi time to work longer Monday and Tuesday, then finish early on Friday.

I am working from home today, because of my ankle.

I'm an accountant and have 3 options-working in the office, working in hub office with hot desks (10 min walk from where I live), or working from home.

I find working from home or in the hub, I get distracted a lot less by other people in the office so get more done. My preference is the hub because you're still in work mode and not distracted by things at home like the fridge... The only thing you can't do it too often as you find you get disconnected from the rest of the team and lose track of what's going on.

Unfortunately due to the business being sold we're losing access to the hub but I'm moving soon anyway. I reckon i'll work from home one day a week going forward though.

I'm working from home today because I left work an hour and a half late yesterday.

Friday is just a normal work day for us. When we work from home, it is scheduled, and it is between 4pm-10pm for a week. The sales leads come in on Friday and need to be actioned just like any other day.

October is a respectable enough month to put the heating on, right? I don't think I can cope much longer. Getting into bed is actually quite painful.

Yeah October is fine, temperatures have dropped to about 2-4 degrees here on a morning when I'm getting out of bed :dread:

I bought brushed cotton sheets and covers in a lovely wintery tartan from John Lewis sale. They’re so comfy and instantly warm I’ve bought another two sets so I never have to be without.

Didn't even have a sniff today, one person in our group got to the registration details page but it crashed out. Very frustrating, although I went to the last two so I've had my fair share of luck with it previously.

I don't tend to put the heating on until November, but then it is still between 14-17 here this week in the South East.

We don’t really return ours off. We have hive so can be extremely specific about schedules so it can be on all year and won’t actually do anything unless it drops below the target.

It’s been coming on for a little bit in the mornings to raise the temp a little before we get up but not much.

Generally we have the house set to 18 as it’s plenty warm enough and doesn’t cost a fortune to maintain.
