I think it's the most Robin Williams of the songs, and so it's the one they had to try and distance themselves the most from. It can't be easy to take a song as awesome as 'Friend Like Me', reinvent it for a new actor, and have it be even comparable whilst serving the same narrative purpose.

They should have just done what they did with 'Be Prepared' and realise they couldn't do it, and so just remove it entirely.

Which I also don't forgive.

I haven't watched the new Lion King yet but wtf have they really? :dread:

That's almost as bad as them apparently removing all the songs from Mulan...

It's been reported on a bunch but there's no concrete yay or nay response. No Mushu, either :dread: Madness.

I like how they've basically shot the new Jasmine song like a music video. It just doesn't fit in with the rest of the soundtrack at all :(

EDIT: Jesus, the credits song :dread: :slol: Think that was part of Will's contract? "Lemme record something awful to play over the credits"

Does anyone else live with a partner who doesn’t earn the same? I don’t earn massively different but do have some extra cash more than her. Saved a bit to pick up a switch lite, and I can feel the tension when I’ve said it.

We split everything else, I’ve even offered paying a little more and she declines. She spends £80 on her hair and shizz, I work hard for my money and don’t come home dropping money all the time so I’m a bit uneasy at the whole thing.

Should have bought the switch and something for her. Unless the switch is for her and the tensions is because she doesn't like Nintendo. :shifty:

I am in a similar situation but the topic has never come up. She likes splitting things or taking her turn which I sometimes feel bad about, as I have a good amount of disposable income while (I think) she might not necessarily have.

I genuinely just had some of the worst nightmares I've ever had. I "woke up" in my nightmare like 3 times to different situations and all of them strawberry floating terrified me. I genuinely feel shaken up and nightmares haven't done that to me for many, many years.

I earn a bit more so I put a bit more into the joint account each month.

Both of us do whatever we want with our personal accounts.

You think that was bad, wait until you realise that you're still asleep.

Found out today that Autosport magazine (new issue every week), have increased the price of the magazine from £3.99 to £10.99. It seems they have done this because of increasing costs of maintaining a print product and that they want to move to digital only.

Auto renewal for my car insurance came through today at nearly twice what it was last year! :fp:

Why they try these things I'll never know. Just looking on the comparison sites now and can get much better deals from loads of places so I think I will be switching!

How picky are other people about who they get their insurance with? I traditionally go with some of the "bigger" names in the market but tempted to go a bit more off-piste this year as there seem to be big savings to be had. Not sure how I feel about my car insurance being handled by Tesco though!

Who are you currently with?

Best thing you can do is phone them up and ask why it's increased by so much and say that you can get it cheaper elsewhere. They will almost certainly reduce it.

Oh yeah I went with the standard approach of contacting them and asking for a reduction in line with the market. But they could only bring it down by about £50 where other prices are almost £200 less than they were offering!

Tesco don't underwrite their own insurance (that's done by AmTrust Europe, a huge insurer), so you shouldn't worry about a claim not being paid or them going under or anything like that.

Yeah the underwriting is sound, it's more the customer services infrastructure, availability etc. that I'm slightly wary of.

I'll probably just go with them regardless as it's the cheapest option!

For what it's worth I was with Tesco for my car insurance a few years ago, and I had to make a claim while with them. They were great throughout - couldn't fault them at all.

The Texas state fair is underway and they have lots of different foods available. Including "Fried Coke". Fried Coke?

Wikipedia wrote:...a frozen Coca-Cola-flavored batter that is deep-fried and then topped with Coca-Cola syrup, whipped cream, cinnamon sugar, and a cherry.

... .
