I took one look at the Discourse version and decided I could do without GR for the day. I'm sure it's just a matter of getting used to it but first impressions weren't great.

EDIT: Had another look and it's not as bad as I first thought. Is there a "view last post" function for threads?

That's not massively helpful or constructive, though. Why do you find normal GRcade easier/simpler? Is it just a question of familiarity?

The one thing I've just noticed from your comparisons is the font on Discourse looks far larger than it needs to be.

A lot of the complaints about Discourse are understandable, but most can be fixed due to it having much more flexibility.

For instance, the front page can be changed to a list of the last updated threads (like the screenshot above), unread threads only, or categories (ala the current site). Text size can be adjusted too.

I'm sure there's a general concensus that most people could agree to and any changes that everyone agrees are needed, can be made.

Got a Huawei phone a year ago. Love it but the lack of heafphone Jack has meant experimenting with a couple of USB-c adapters. The one it came with was poor. Too quiet. After some trial and error I just thought strawberry float it and stumped it 50 quid for a quality one. Jesus the difference is astonishing.

At St Pancras waiting for a Eurostar to Lille and I'm literally about to get on the escalator to the train platform when I notice Lille has disappeared from the electronic timetable's list of destinations. Apparently they decided to drop it without any announcement like 10 minutes before boarding.

They've rebooked me on the next train but I think a lot of people are going to get stuck in Brussels.
