I saw a lad at a festival with that beer belly one once, he was giving out hits of whiskey to everyone who wanted some

the pest man came and put some peanut butter and dye out, that way we can tell if its a rat or a squirrel or whatever

I also found a bag up in the loft with a hole chewed out of it

god knows how the strawberry floater got in here but the little bastard is literally coming out of the god damned walls

up most of the night just listening to him moving about and biting up all the woodwork

Please remember to take pictures if/when you finally catch/kill whatever it is so we can all revel in your victory.

I deployed some traps (not humane ones sadly :( ) when we had our scratchy visitor upstairs a few weeks back. I have not heard anything since, but have also not been up there to check the traps yet... :dread:

In Uni, we were watching TV and a mouse wandered out from behind the TV, had a look around and then went back the way he came. So we made a home made trap, using a Tupperware box, a spatula, string and a piece of cheese. Came down in the morning and the little bastard had managed to get the cheese and not get trapped :x

But the strawberry floater wished he hadn't been so smart when he got splattered to death with a real trap.

I had what I assume was a mouse in my garage for a while, the little fella chewed through a bag of topsoil and basically emptied the bag all over the floor and replaced the contents with tiny bits of a cardboard box. Never did see him, but he disappeared and hasn't returned since (that I'm aware of). Other than hermetically sealing the garage in a bubble, I doubt there's ever a sure-fire way of preventing critters getting in, too many alcoves (you use this word, alcoves?) and points of entry that a tiny mouse can squeeze through.

I'm sad to say that when we had rats/mice in our student house one year we took to keeping tennis rackets in the lounge so when we were watching TV and one shot out we could whack it. Managed to get a few this way but even though they're nasty little things it still didn't feel nice to kill them.

Yes, but "nook" is a better term.

If Disney has taught me anything it's that mice are inherently good and rats are inherently evil.

Nook? Nooks and crannies, yes! Perhaps this would be more accurate. Nooks and crannies rather than alcoves. Yes.

the weird thing is that I live on the end house and its airgapped from everything else so theres no obvious way for anything to get in

the only thing thats open is the corner roof tile is moved but that happened a while ago and I thought it was the wind, but maybe the rat or squirrel climbed up the side of the house and peeled back the roof tile and made its way in there

Disney taught me that as long as they are deeply asleep, it’s ok to kiss girls.

I would say get a Cat, but mine loves nothing more than slaughtering the local wildlife and bringing it indoors.

Murderous wee bastard.
