For context, Matt Damon's net wealth is $170m so he'd have more than doubled it. He's probably a little gutted about it but I can't imagine it keeps him up at night.

It did bother Sean Connery though-after passing on Lord of the Rings and The Matrix because he didn't understand the script, he decided he wasn't going to make the same mistake and took the part on the next script he didn't understand-The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Some wise career choices there.

I’m pretty sure Sean “Tax Exile” Connery would be furious at missing out on that cash.

Sean "'Autographs? I don't get paid for them - so I don't sign them" Connery.

What's he paying him for? Is this some of your specialist X-MEN / LOTR crossover fanfiction Moggy?

It’s a parallel world. In that world Stan Lee and Tolkien got married and merged their universes. After defeating Sauron, Magneto took the One Ring (he has power over metal remember) and declared himself ruler of Middle Earth. Gandalf joined forces with the remaining X-Men to defeat the new Dark Lord, but Magneto knew Gandalf was pissed off about being poorer than Tony Stark. With a few sizable bribes, Magneto managed to tempt Gandalf into supporting him.

That’s what I meant….. :shifty:

I decided to drive to work today instead of cycle as it (correctly) was predicted to piss down and be really cold. Cycling usually means I don't have to deal with the cretins on the road around here, so tonight was a real treat.

This evening's 8 minute drive home consisted of:

Me having to do an emergency stop right outside the work car park as some dickhead wearing a hoodie (with hood up, thus removing peripheral vision) decided to just pull out of a junction to my left without slowing or looking. He only saw me when I was stopped about 6 ft from his door beeping the horn. "Sorry mate".

Someone with no lights on deciding to shortcut the queuing traffic at the roundabout by driving up the wrong side of the road to take their turn in to a side road rather than wait for the 3 car lengths he needed to move.

Someone else with no lights on (remember it's nearly full darkness at this time, plus raining heavily) who just decides to aim for one exit of a later roundabout, then at the last minute just wall of deaths it around meaning I have to stop half way out of the road again (and I was going slowly).

Someone else tailgating me the rest of the way with their full high beams on, becuase i had the audacity to be going at the speed limit.

Isn't that what causes blindness? Do you really want to tempt fate like that?
