It's not.

Are you planning to ever tell him, or are you going to let him suffer until the battery runs out?

I'm going to keep it going to see if he ever finds it.
If he does find it, I'm going to tell him that it looks like a listening device and that head office must have planted it. The beeping is (obviously) a low battery warning.

Despite the xmas name change, we felt it was still too easy to identify people.

You're welcome.

That side is covered in brown tape.
I've covered every eventuality.

He thinks one of us is using an app controlled device to make it beep.
It beeped when we all voluntarily put out phones on the desk. :slol:

... I'm thinking of buying a 2nd one. :slol:

I've laughed a few times, it's hard not to.
That's what made him think we were doing it.

I played it off by saying it's funny, because it's like caddyshack.

Anyone have experience of buying a refurbished phone? Seems like a sensible/environmentally responsible thing to do, but I am wary.

Thanks Taf. Did they feel obviously used? Anything suspect when it comes to battery life etc?

Not even slightly. 4Gadgets have a rating system (As New, Good Condition etc etc) and both times I got As New phones that were, well, As New. Saved around £200 on my Galaxy S7 and I bought it about 4 months after it came out!

To give a contrasting view - I've had a couple of refurb phones over the years and whilst they were faultless in every other respect the battery has just not held up at all well. After 6 months it just gave up essentially.

Ah - okay. I'm intending going for something midrange, so need savings to be substantial to make the perceived risk worthwhile.

The savings were definitely good when I did it, and with the one phone I just got a shop to switch the battery out and that solved the problem (the other phone I just replaced entirely) which wasn't that expensive as I recall so it wasn't the end of the world.

Some buyer on eBay bought a game i was selling on a sunday evening, and opened a case on Paypal Monday morning to say he hadn't received the item. Paypal are investigating, but I'm not sure if they'll take a refund. The guy has horrible feedback and closed his ebay account two hours after making the case.

I have his name and address and don't want criminal charges, or to screw over businesses by sending pizza. Aside from glitter bombing the banana split obv, what else can I do?
