It's just really weird, lying in bed and hearing a constant hum of buzzing. And it's definitely not a vibrator as I've gone through and checked them all. Looks like I've got a day to look forward to when all the make bees will hang around outside my bedroom window, waiting to mate all the Queens as they leave to hibernate.
We've got bumblebees nesting near our bathroom window. I can only hear them if the window is open and they aren't flying inside so I don't mind them being there.
When I saw I'd been quoted, I was expecting to read a joke or something that'd scare and panick me. Thank you for reassuring me instead!
In a few months when they've moved on, I might cover the hole. Bees are fine but if wasps ever decided to move in, that'd be a major problem.
