We have a small room off our lounge that I basically shoved all the Christmas decorations in when I was dying with covid. Fast forward a few weeks and we're both still feeling gooseberry fool and juggling trying to keep a 3 month old baby happy/alive. So everything is still in there. Trees still up, waiting to come down. It is like a mini Christmas wonderland.

We keep the door shut.

Some prick in my village has all of his hedges lit up still with a several thousand bulbs, but nothing else. Lazy bones.

They'd normally be long down tbh but this year I didn't feel Christmassy in the slightest at any point so it doesn't seem as though they were building to any crescendo. Some point at start of Feb I'll finally pull them down.

I said I'd keep them up until I can have my pals round for Christmas dinner like we always have but that's not happening probably until next Christmas. I love the season but even I got them down last week. No longer festive, just a reminder of what should have been. And that's pretty grim.

My neighbour still has all her lights up in her window and her Christmas bells up on her front door. I took ours down after new year. I think a few people around here kept them up for a bit longer this time round.

Indefinitely miss the cosyness that the decorations gave to the front room. Turning all the main lights off to watch a film and just having a small glow from fairy lights and candles was really nice, and something we'd like to still have in some way, but the actual Christmas vibe was non existent this time so we took those down earlier than normal.

Light some candles again. Instant cosy glow and nothing to do with Christmas

Plenty of people have fairy lights for cosy lighting just because they like them. Keep them up if you want to!

We have in the conservatory within the roof section as it makes it look twinkly and nice.

 We have candles on most times anyway, I mean just the general warm glow that all the tree and stuff adds up to

Where is that in relation to the mum bunker?

Naaa thats round the side of the house, she can't have access to twinkly stuff, it would enrich her life and make her wish for more rather than appreciate what she is has.

We have plain white fairy lights in the lounge and bedroom - I like the lighting a lot.

Have slightly larger globe style in the lounge which helps break the association with Christmas.

My flatmate in the 1st year of Uni used to keep blue fairy lights in her room. When the group would do acid we'd take turns putting it right up to our faces while the room lights were off.

uh I doubt most of you would use them for that purpose tho lmao; for sure they're cosy otherwise

Just ate an entire bag of Mini Eggs to myself. Not one of those little solo bags, or even one of the medium 80g bags, but a whole 300g bag of the strawberry floaters. :dread:

If I didn't have work to do I swear I'd be halfway to Dundee in my bare feet at this point!

Good point, in that case I'll get started on the next bag. :datass:
