I finished it just a few days ago, I'm on a fiction binge at the moment - for the last 15 years, I've exclusively read non-fiction. Within the last few weeks, I've read The Man Who Fell to Earth, Brave New World, and I've just started
Flowers for Algenon.

Indeed, only became aware of the book after it was referenced in
Person of Interest.
I also remember seeing an episode of
Rugrats that was essentially a kid friendly retelling of it.
