Turns out he just had a strawberry floating nose bleed. :fp:

He did lose quite a lot of blood and you can't be too careful with these things, especially where kids are concerned, so it was probably the right thing to do in the circumstances. But on the other hand what with the uptick in covid recently going to a busy hospital was not really my most desirable way to spend an afternoon!

Was the doctor able to feedback to you that your son had a nosebleed and not a broken nose without a Priti Patel-esque smirk?

From 1st January we are stopping the free flow of blood out of children's noses.

Everyone at the hospital was really good in all honesty. I was convinced it was only a nosebleed in the first place, he's got form in having bad ones, but he did look a right mess when I got to school and they had already contacted the doctor by that point who was pretty insistent that he be brought in!

The gammons now have "White Christmas" trending because they've invented a scenario where that song will be banned.

Do they put out a tweet/article for every song that they censor for words that might offend people? Feels like they're just looking to generate clicks and outrage, when they could've just played a radio friendly version like they've done for probably hundreds of other songs without bringing special attention to it.

It's a fuss every year.

I can't imagine Radio 1 play it very often anyway. And I guarantee the gammon moaning about this never ever listen to Radio 1.

There's a well-known film isn't there, where the priest sings along to the song, including the slur, and everyone's like oh wow if Father Simpleson sings it, it must be okay! Yeah like the Church has always been the bastion of morality when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights.

They got a lot of stick for not saying anything last year and just bleeping the word, did they not?

After a few days of writing lists and checking out various sites this morning I ordered the vast majority of the Christmas presents I'll be giving this year. I think this might be the first time I've got it pretty much sorted so early, but part of that is that I'll probably need to ship them this year so want to ensure there's enough time for that to happen.

Still, it's a massive load off which is nice.

Alright Santa Claus, I hope you checked your list twice before sorting everything.
