No. If they're not wearing their beret/hat, a salute is not required.

Cool but is it a good idea to salute anyway?

edit: top of the page, now it just looks like I'm asking an insane question. I've become what I despise

Proof that the real problem is someone answering these questions, opening up Pandora's box of "can someone explain why an icicle isn't the perfect murder weapon?" level enquiries.

Maybe 3 weeks after spending £70 to catch the mole that has plagued my back garden for the best part of a year (and ruined the nice turf we had laid :x ), I wake up this morning to find yet another strawberry floating mole hill has appeared. Nature mocks me, the world is against me :fp: It's most likely another travelling mole has found an empty set of tunnels and moved in, not knowing the grizzly fate of the previous tenant. Well he's about to find out :capnscotty:

Crom, I have never prayed to you before. I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good men or bad. Why we fought, and why we died. All that matters is that today, one stood against many moles. Valour pleases you, so grant me this one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, the HELL with you!

I'm going to do it myself this time - mole traps are cheap on Amazon and now that I've seen a professional at work I think I can make a good stab of it (and maybe even stab the mole to death, Crom willing). I shall chronicle my trials here for those that are interested. Wish me luck :slol:

You won't be able to find them, that's why they're so damn smart.

No, you'd probably get a bollocking. It's not a good idea to identify someone as an officer in a civilian situation, as that could be noticed by the kind of people who don't like British soldiers a lot.

Nobody would see though because they'd both be in camo

Tidied up the last of the old photos I had today in tidy boxes, much more organised but had another bit of a cry after seeing more photos directly related to my Mum and what lead to me being here. Found photos of my parents engagement, their wedding and from the day I was born and found my old school photos as well. Found the love letters my Dad wrote my Mum as well the other day but didn't open them, they got divorced about 14 years ago so I don't want to bring them up to him either but I know even to the end he still cared about her. Life comes at you real fast and if all this has made me realise anything it's that I need to find a way to steer my life into a way that I can be happy, because right now being stuck in my shitty job and just dealing with life a day at a time isn't really working for me longer term. I've gotta change something, maybe jobs, maybe careers, maybe location. I'm not sure what yet, but it's time for me to find a life I can be happy with.

I don't hate my life now, but I definitely want to change something up a bit. I think my first goal is to go to Japan finally once most people are vaccinated (including me) and go enjoy myself for a while.

How is it that an entire year since we were all forced to use video calls, people STILL have to be asked to mute their microphones :fp:

Just watched someone in the office sit and meticulously peel a satsuma, removing the outer skin delicately so as not to break it, slowly removing additional strips of pith so that they were left with a single glorious shining ball of orangey goodness... and then they just shoved the whole thing in their mouth in one go and proceeded to chomp down on it like some kind of strawberry floating monster! :dread:

That's strawberry floated. They'll be eating the mother pith that lives inside the center.
