Tbh, it's even more impressive that Curls works on a satellite, much harder than working in the relative comfort of a space station.

Huw was merely zooming in from his home planet Wales.

Second day off work sick with whatever cold/flu bug is going round at the moment. Was having trouble breathing yesterday along with absolutely zero energy. Feeling a little better today but even one flight of stairs is still leaving me pretty breathless. The coughing has eased up at least, though ended up coughing so much between Sunday and yesterday that my sides are aching

My Mrs has been ill with something for nearly a month now. She had another covid booster recently and we went out for a weekend and both felt gooseberry fool the week after, but it's just hung around for her. She's got proper long covid type symptoms too.

I'm off to a four-day international conference in London tomorrow so expecting to catch everything going :dread:

Heading back from a long weekend to watch the eclipse today. Got very lucky with the weather, was a gorgeous clear day yesterday.

Totality is pretty cool, an absolutely bizarre couple of minutes that just can't be replicated by anything else. Doubly cool when we're the only known planet that can have solar eclipses. If you have the chance to catch one I'd thoroughly recommend it.

Closest i got was 1999, rigged up an old analogue video camera to the TV and recorded it on to VHS.
