Dinner or Supper. Depends on the time, really. The later it is, the more likely it'll be Supper.

Breakfast -> Brunch -> Lunch -> Dinner -> Tea if a proper meal, else Supper if it's just a snack.

I agree. Tea is something you drink.

The whole 'supper' thing confuses me, and I've no idea where it came from.

Used to call it tea, but mostly just call it dinner now. And dinner is now lunch. Bad times.

But it was traditionally drunk at teatime, so the meal was named after it. Admittedly, the meal was originally a scwun with some jam and cream, but it has evolved. Still eaten in the late afternoon/early evening though.

I'm glad you've realised the dual meaning behind the word Tea.

I was told when i was young that Dinner is another word for Lunch. Although i never say dinner for lunch.

I say tea, but would rather say dinner really. Tea just sounds weird when it's also a drink.

Tell me, when you invite Nood to "Dinner at the Captain's Table", does he turn up at midday?
