Not bad, may have to try and catch a few episodes some time.

Atleast they're not aliens like they did in that strawberry floating awful film.

Shhhhh. That never happened :shifty:

Probably because blue was my favourite colour. In fact that was the only reason.

Same for me  I think my preference used to be Leo, mikey, don and the raph. Mainly because raph was a moody strawberry floater who was jealous of Leo.

I'd imagine the kind of person who liked Donatello the best now works in I.T.

Hero Turtles > Ninja Turtles.

Even the theme tune is better.

:| It just doesn't sound right. It's not sung as well and the voices aren't as clear as the European version.

First animated series (1987–1996)

Pretty sure I was born before 1996.

Also grew up watching the live action one too. Not as good as the cartoon, but the cartoon was repeated enough so I grew up with TWO TMNT shows old man.

You grew up after the show's huge popularity came and went, you have no fondness for the original name it had at the time nor the era nor anything associated with the time period it aired.

Piss off Staydead.

What? I was a kid at the time it was airing, I even have plenty of the toys in my attic somewhere.

100% agree. It was always Hero turtles when they first came out over here, and if you didn't watch it then, you wernt there at the start.

That new song :fp: A strawberry floating rap.

Donatello was my favourite. Dude beats down enemies with a stick. No need for blades over here, he's that good.

Get over it dude. It was only "heroes" over here because the broadcasting powers that be had a hate-on for Ninja stuff.

They are, and always have been Ninjas. We live in literally the only corner of the universe that thinks of them as Hero Turtles. We got bum localisation, as always.

Oh man those toys, the hours and hours spent pouring over that double page spread in the Argos catalogue!

The only official turtles toy I had was the swimming Donatello, and that was only because every other toy was sold out everywhere at the time

Image

My dad was in singapore with the Navy at the time and brought back their versions which was all the turtles, shredder, splinter and April :datass: I was just going off the turtles when he brought them back though, poor sod  I played the gooseberry fool out of them for a few months though. Shredder had a proper cape and everything.
