Did you read the PM thread?

If anything he was just as bad as Nood!

I posted an email from Goat earlier. Although he did send another one when I questioned him about the laughably terrible fake PM.

forgot how piss that message was. I hold my hands up to that. Nood asked me via msn to PM something to NickSCFC as part of the "plan". Something like it would appear in Mocky's sent messages and somehow make Nick look guilty or at least involved. Needless to say I hadn't a clue what exactly to put so just went with the pish you've got there.

The level of how gooseberry fool the message is really shows how amateur this whole thing was and just how much "planning" was done when they said we spent 6 months planning this all. Which we never really did as mentioned earlier. Was about as half-arsedly planned as the episode ideas of The Portsmouth Pirates discussed between myself and Nood via PM.

gooseberry fool planning or not, the point is they had every intention in advance to majorly screw people.

I know that's not being contested.

GG, do you know what's happening re: their ISPs, or is it just a case of reporting it then receiving no feedback?

Let's be realistic, Internet service providers don't care what their customers get up to online. If they don't shut down users who pirate heavily, access child pornography sites and carry out various other nefarious activities, they won't shut down someone who socially engineered someone's account online.

In the strictest sense, what occurred wasn't hacking.

Yeah, all that ran through my mind too. Which is why I asked GG.

However,

Well, yes they did, and that's an indisputable fact. There are fuckloads of PMs going back to November about it.

The problem is proving social engineering to the extent where action is taken is very difficult. Even with reams of posts between the offenders, which have been made public (something that should never have happened if legal action was a genuine pursuit), you only have a plan to carry out an attack, there's no actual evidence that those people carried out the attack.

Naturally, I'm assuming they used proxies, which is the death blow against seeking legal action for this attack on the forum.

Schrodinger?

I don't know who that is. Or are you so upset that action against those villains isn't possiblethat you are attempting to tarnish me with the brush of someone who apparently 'hacked' the forum in the past.

Poor form if you are.

If you aren't upset, why did you attempt to tarnish me with the tainted brush of someone who carried out a similar attack against the forum in the past? Is it standard practice when dealing with those who don't post regularly?
