Gotta admit this challenge is slightly out of my comfort zone since it's been years since I'd had any contact with PC parts this gooseberry fool.

I'm not sure what the nearest and cheapest modern equivalent to an 8800 is.

You can make up to six accounts on a 360 for a month each, so no problem.

Or if you prefer a 12gb PS3 is even better value at £129 on Amazon, with no such costs for online!!

Are you waiting for someone to say its impossible, pretty obviously its not possible to do this.

Didn't read the topic but I'd guess this is not what whoever you were arguing with was talking about.

All right, I'll take the bait. This build plus this HDMI cable plus this wireless adaptor plus this keyboard equals £181. Infinite online Crysis for less than 15 months of online 360, nor a hard drive that taps out after installing one game.

Good start, so we are well under £200 already!

You can get the game for free on PC versus £40 on console so we have to take that into account.

Plus I note that the 360 he's claiming is the no-hard-drive version, so it really can't play any XBLA games, so there's that. I'm not sure you can patch up to play multiplayer on the 4Gb 360. Ditto the PS4 version, especially after you've played something like GT5. For the version where you can actually do everything, the target is actually £190, so I'm going to declare Rik owned again.

We could steal the console version though, we can buy the console version for less than £23 new on zavvi today.

The challenge was to play Crysis 3, nothing else.

The challenge was to play Crysis 3 on a computer for less than £139 (done, used old jalopy with used parts added on for £120), and you've since moved the goalposts to a new computer with links to all parts, so it's only fair that I can move the goalposts an equivalent amount.

Slight step backwards pricewise, but I note that Ebuyer has a Zoostorm PC with
- AMD A4 3300 2.5GHz
- 4GB RAM + 320GB HDD
- DVD Writer
- AMD Radeon HD 6410D
- No Operating System

for £150.

Can't find any videos of it running Crysis, sadly, but that spec appears to be doing a decent job of Dead Space 3, for whatever that's worth.

You can go used but then the budget drops to £49.95 as per the opening post.

Yep, we're now definitely into "can play multiplayer for less than 360 territory".

I also note that despite his insistence that we show links to all parts, he's yet to link his £139 360 yet.

Clicked on just two things in that PC build list; first the graphics card which quotes £11 for delivery, and then the motherboard which is not in stock.

PC gamers... gotten to :-)

That Xbox 360 isn't sold by Amazon though, is it? It's sold by a third party dude. Otherwise you could get Falsey to buy the parts and build it and sell it to Delusi for £100 to prove you wrong. Not that I think Falsey would do this, I mean, i'd like to hope he would, but I don't think he actually would.
