I've lost track of this a little. I'll probably just do one final update once all purchases have been done for the year. I'm pretty my budget has been blown anyway.

£200 (Spent £247.00) Balance = -£47

Bought Dirt 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 in the steam sale at £3.75 each

Also got a new PC for £650 but Im not sure that counts as the same budget, seeing as I use it for more than games.

£200 (Spent £254.50) Balance = -£54.50

Bought Sims 3 for PS3 for £27.99

Total spent = £659.21

Balance = -£159.21

* I've still included my Mustang guitar which has yet to be sent. Depending on what happens with this (if anything) by the end of the year I may be looking to take back £108.85 off my spending. I'll still be over budget of course!

Avon

Old Balance = £97.10

Bought
Swapgame Rental £3.99 (Medal of Honour)
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit £22.99 (360)

New Balance = £70.12

Pretty close to no more purchases in 2010 although some of those sub £18 deals are tempting.

Doesn't play games anymore, sold his Xbox, withdrew from GRcade and still ends up nearly £180 over budget. ;)

Just think what my spending would've been like if I hadn't done all of those things you mention!

If I hadn't bought Rock Band 3 with the keyboard and Pro guitar I'd still be just about on budget.

There's always next year!

OK, bear with me. This could get confusing.

First off, I'll list some stuff I haven't had to pay for, just for my own reference:
Sims 3 and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit - both free from Coke Zone
ilomilo - used 800 free MS Points from "Spend 2400 points" promotion
DJ Hero 1+2 +turntable - forthcoming Christmas present

Now, the spending:

Opening balance: £9.98
Gran Turismo 5 -£32.99
iPhone games: Fruit Ninja, Voodoo Dice, Nodes of Yesod, Gravity, Chu Chu Rocket -£2.95
Enslaved -£16.15
Infinity Blade -£3.49
But I've also been given £50 to buy some games for Christmas, so I'm offsetting that against the above purchases: +£50.00
Closing balance: £4.40

rinks = £1000 (Spent £995.60) Balance = £4.40

It's only fair you nominate £50 worth of those games as Xmas presents and agree not to play them until Xmas Day to get away with that move for staying in budget. ;)
